 Layton Rogers is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Spur Ridge Capital. Prior to founding Spur Ridge, Layton was an investor at Mountaingate Capital, a Denver-based private equity firm. During his time at Mountaingate, he was directly involved in organic growth initiatives and M&A transactions within the portfolio companies. Working closely with the founders and executive teams, Layton developed a passion for scaling companies at the operational level and accelerating growth through M&A. With a passion for founder-owned businesses, he is a strong believer in culture and cultivating growth-orientated management teams. Prior to his time at Mountaingate, Layton was an associate at Piper Sandler in the Medical Technology Investment Banking group, working on public and private M&A, equity and debt transactions. Layton is a graduate from Texas Christian University and currently resides in Golden, Colorado with his wife, two dogs and two horses.

Nick Dolan is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Spur Ridge Capital. Prior to founding Spur Ridge, Nick spent nearly a decade leading go-to-market strategies and scaling high-growth, PE and VC-backed SaaS companies. With deep expertise in building and optimizing sales organizations, Nick has a proven track record of driving revenue growth, hiring top talent, and guiding companies through critical inflection points—from product-market fit to scalable growth.

His leadership roles at companies including TCP Software, Alviere, Altvia, and talentReef have spanned multiple industries and customer segments, giving him a cross-functional perspective on what it takes to grow and operate in competitive markets. Nick is passionate about partnering with founders to unlock operational excellence and long-term enterprise value.

Nick earned his B.A. from Whittier College and lives in Denver, Colorado with his French bulldog, Jagger. Outside of work, he enjoys the Colorado outdoors and serves on the board of Colorado Uplift, supporting youth development in the Denver community.
